The 4-H group met yesterday Sept 27 and had a good turnout 16 kids
shot shotgun and we had 4 new sign ups.
We met at the Range at 1:00 pm for a workday. The kids did a good job,
they emptied all the trash barrels on all the ranges
and then filled sand bags at the pistol range. There were quite a few
involved in the work day so they were able to finish there chores
quickly
and I think they were anxious to shoot as well.
Our regular shooting season ended at the end of July and we are
getting the kids ready for this next year. I now have 80 + email
addresses
on my contact list for 4-H, we have lost a few along the way but have
gained far more than we have lost.
We are meeting 4 times a month now, twice a month for the small bore
shooters and twice a month for shotgun.
The 4-H is currently hosting a fundraiser shoot to be held at Alpine
shooting Range. The info. has been posted here on the web site.
We need YOU to participate and come shoot or at least make some kind
of donation to the Club. In the fly-er for the shoot is a list of
wants
and needs for the Club if you can help in some way we would greatly
appreciate it
We have 4 or more members attending the upcoming coaching workshop to
be held in Wichita Falls, October the 9-10 after they complete
there training we will have coach's in 4 disciplines; Shotgun, Rifle,
Pistol, Archery. I will have some more Rifle Coaches to help me out
and
then I can help Henry get the Pistol group started
Meeting Dates 2ND and last Sunday of the month 2:00pm at the PCSC
1st Tuesday following the 2ND and last Sunday of the month at my home
for small bore rifle shooting
